As a kid, I just loved watching Gene Okerlund play along with all of this.

When I was a kid, just after moving from Chicago to VA, the only thing on TV on Saturday night was Midatlantic Championship Wrestling and Hee Haw. That was back in the heyday of Ric Flair, Jimmy Snuka, Rowdy Roddy Piper, et al. The days before it blew up into a big national shitshow. It was actually somewhat enjoyable, but yes, I just don’t know how those guys played it straight so well.
And, in retrospect, Hee Haw was actually a pretty good show, with some really fantastic musicians.

I don’t know what the name of the wrestling show was, but it was definitely Gene Okerlund and the usual cast of characters in 80's wrestling - but it was on in the mornings, I want to say Sunday morning (?) in Chicago, on one of the UHF channels. Seems like it was more interviews than wrestling - maybe because it was the interviews that I enjoyed most. I wasn’t into wrestling, but I thought it was funny.
Hee Haw was always on at really weird hours (5 am?) in Chicago - I’ve never seen it, actually.

We have two channels on our Dish, RFDTV and GetTV. As the first one implies, it shows lots of Farm Bureau shows and documentaries about the history of tractors (plus some cool shows about trains), and GetTV shows all manner of 80s TV plus many of the old TV variety shows from the 60s and 70s. We watched lots of those as a kid, so it’s fun to see them again.

So many coffee creamers.
Can we have a talk like Macho Man day?
